8 Shops Gutted at Malbazar’s Daily Market in The Early Morning

Webdesk, TNI Malbazar, 25th March, 2017: Today in a devastating fire during the early morning at Malbazar’s daily market destroying 8 shops and a house. The fire was spotted at around 4 am in the morning. The locals informed the Fire Brigade but they came late resulting in the catching of fire in the nearby shops. Police of Mal Police Station also rushed to the spot to control the situation.
A lone Fire engine from Malbazar took 30 minutes to reach the spot but they failed to douse the fire. Later 2 fire engines were brought from Dhupguri and Mainaguri to the act. It took at least 2 hours to completely douse the flames. The loss is estimated around 15 lakhs. Interestingly, at least 16 shops were gutted in the same area just a year before.
